Robot playground and legoland

We enjoy our robot park (playground) in Roppongi Hills as often as possible as we will move in our new home at the end of this week, and will live too far to go very often... a pity as it's very much fun to hangout over there!

There were so many children at the playground last Friday evening, we got "stuck" there until 7pm!

We also discovered a Lego shop on basement 2 of Roppongi Hills, heaven on earth!

Wandering in Tokyo... May 17, 2012

Wandering in Yoyogi-koen (a big park next to Harajuku)

View of Harajuku station on the left from the bridge crossing the road

Hungry tummies are asking for food: stopping at my favorite place in Omotesando to eat gyoza (Japanese dumplings - see photo below) with a bowl of rice and chicken soup.

Hungry but not enough to taste the gyozas... I have ordered too much and must finish them all!!

Ginza Dori last Sunday...

Mathias walking in the middle of the street (closed to circulation of course)

A cat was quietly waiting on top of a road sign; he quickly became the attraction and everyone was stopping by and taking pictures (including Chloe who took this one)

What a find! in a country where food and meat is very expensive and is bought per 100gr, it was quite unlikely to find this beautiful piece of meat at the food floor of chic department store Mitsukochi!
If I remember well, the whole piece was costing something like 250,000yen (about US$3,200).

Harajaku Lane (Tokyo)

The Harajuku Lane gate. No pictures of fancy dressed-up girls unfortunately!

Very difficult to get everyone coordinated on photos! there is too much going on around you!

A bit lost and very wingy too often...
someone's got to learn to walk and walk, no stroller here!

Rose Garden in Ark Hills

We are staying in a serviced apartment in Roppongi 1-chome called Ark Towers. It's very close to where Mama used to work 6 years ago. There is this little square called Ark Hills nearby where we like to hang out. There is a temporary rose garden to celebrate Spring, a fountain, a French restaurant with a boulangerie and cafes. More important, there is plenty of space to run, jump and have fun!

Ramen shop - Tokyo Day #1

We went to our first ramen restaurant last Monday in Shibuya. It was small very small, and you had to order your dish from the machine (Mama forgot to take a picture of it). Mathias and I were tired because here we are waking up with the sun at 5am every morning (guess who is very happy about it...).
